Not so Excited.

Tomorrow will be the start of my classes yet I haven't prepared any of my things. I think I'm not that excited to study again and I don't know the reason why. Maybe because the opening of classes was delayed for a week because of the swine flu but still I think it is not a valid reason.

Usually, I'm always motivated to study again and again but now I can't find any motivation. Hope I will be able to find one as soon as possible so as to get good grades in the semesters to come.

I really miss my friends especially S2PAJO and 4D buddies. That is the only reason why I will attend my class for tomorrow.

Hope that my first day will be fine with my new section, new classmates and new professors.

4D Overnight Swimming

I was really excited for this day because I, together with my 4D classmates, have decided to go for an overnight swimming in 3B Resort located in Antipolo City. You must be wondering why? Because we think that this would be our last bonding time before we get separated on the school year to come.

This year, our college has decided to distribute or reshuffle us among the sections namely 3-1D, 3-2D, 3-3D, 3-4D and 3-1N. And from being a 2-4D student, I am now a 3-1N student. Although being reshuffled would be a hindrance for an already tight-bonded class, I felt still overwhelmed. I am really sad about the decision of the college but at the same time a little excited because I will be having a chance to get to know other students. Besides, I still have my close classmates with me in this new section. And for that reason, we’ve come up with this kind of I can say celebration and at the same time farewell also.

Two weeks ago, I and Paw are already advertising about this event. I’m glad that almost all of our classmates are willing to join for it. I was really trying my best to convince them because they will be only spending 300 pesos for it inclusive of the food, transportation and the rent of the resort. 3B Resort is actually a private resthouse and the rent for a 12-hour overnight stay is 5,000 pesos. So I said that we should go for it because as such price, nobody would be like sharing the resort with us and there are lots of rooms where we could sleep in case that we don’t feel like swimming. What I really like with this price is the unlimited usage of the videoke machine while renting the resort. I am pretty sure that nobody will object with this kind of offer right?

We have agreed to meet in McDonalds Gateway at exactly 1 pm for the organizers and 3 pm for our other classmates. The weather was really not convenient for us to do this kind of thing because it felt like there is a storm but we have no choice but to pursue it because if not, I think there will be no such other time to have this kind of bonding again. The organizers were me, Paw, Joana, Zhe, Tonet and Roger. During that time, the organizers haven’t prepared of any yet like the food that we’re going to eat and the transportation because we have no cash on hand. We have agreed that we will be buying the ingredients after we collected from them their contributions. I was honestly disappointed for this event because only few were able to make it. For that reason, I can’t just tell them that “Hey! We are only blah blah so we should somehow increase our contribution.” because the participants themselves are only expecting that they will only pay this kind of amount. Despite the deficiency of our fund, we were still able to manage to buy the ingredients for our Adobo and Tilapia for our grilled fish. Thanks to Zhe and Drazen because they are really good in doing a bargain with the market vendor.

After we bought all the necessary stuffs for our one-of-a-kind outing, we rented FX to reach our destination. While on our way to Antipolo, some of us are starting to take pictures, videos and even enjoying the music being played by the driver. We also did a stop-over in Shopwise Antipolo because we forgot to buy mineral water, spoon and fork and plates. How about that? Haha.

I think I could only share up to that part because I want the memorable experiences during the swimming to be cherished by the participants only. Hehe. No offense intended.

I got hired!

Yehey! I was finally hired by ePLDT Ventus - call center company of PLDT. Actually, I was already hired last year (June 2008) but refused to pass the requirements because I thought the job was only intended for part-time but the HR said that it was for full time. But now that I was hired for the second time around and eventhough it was still a full-time job, I grabbed the oppurtunity to work with them since I don't have any important things to do during my summer vacation. Maybe it would be worth of my time to spend it earning money. Right? Hehe.

The hiring process of ePLDT Ventus is not actually that tough. All you have to do is to pass each examinations and that's it. You're hired! The first part of the exam is about filling the right prepositions, pronouns and articles on each blank of the given selection. Then the next one is the listening exam wherein you will listen and all you have to do is to take note of the important details so as to answer the questions correctly. On the third part, all you have to do is to choose a topic from the list of topics that will be given to you by the HR personnel and discuss something about your chosen topic for about 3 minutes. After that will be the abstract test which consists of 15 items and you must be able to finish it I think for about 10 minutes. Lastly is the final interview. This part is subdivided into 3 namely: pronunciation, story-telling and another interview. In the pronunciation part, you will be given a list of states in America and you will just have to pronounce it correctly. Pictures will be given to you on the second part and you will make a story out of that. Hehe. I think that is the hardest part for me because I'm not actually a good story-maker. The last part is spent for knowing you better like asking personal questions on your future plans, employment history, etc. And after that, they will inform you if you pass or fail as a Customer Service Representative.

I am finally a CSR of ePLDT Ventus! I will be starting my training on April 27, 2009. I am quite nervous because I don't know what to expect on my first day. Hayz. But still, I have to do my best in order to impress them. Hehe. Goodluck to me. Aja! Fighting!
